Observation: What do I see in the text?
1. Read the introduction to Paul's letter to Titus in your Study Bible if you have one.
2. Read Titus 1 all the way through at least once.
3. Read Titus 1:10-16 through at least twice.
- Mark key words/terms that you find in your reading. An example of a key word in verse 10 would be "empty talkers". Empty talkers refers to individuals who speak things that are senseless, futile, vain, and mischievous.
- Mark key verbs/verbal phrases noticing whether they are past, present, or future. One key verb is found in verse 11. It is the verb "upsetting" which is in the present tense thus being a continual action. These false teachers are continually creating turmoil and error in the homes of the believing community.
