2. Read 1 Timothy 4:1-5 in at least two different Bible translations. I appreciated how The Message rendered verse 4: "These liars have lied so well and for so long that they've lost their capacity for truth."

3. Look up the meanings of the key words/terms that you found in your reading from Day Four.

Questions to Ponder:

1. In verse 1 does Paul's references to "deceitful spirits" and "doctrines of demons" refer to general false teaching or to something more specific?
2. Where do you think Paul would draw the line in verse 4?
