**I apologize for just now getting this out.
- We will continue our look at the Ancient Gnostic Worldview focusing on their view of Knowledge, Morality and Humanity.
- When looking at their view of Knowledge we will examine the following passages: Jude 8; Deuteronomy 13:1-5; Jeremiah 14:14; Jeremiah 23:27, 32; Jeremiah 29:8
- If we have time we will at least begin another look at Ancient Gnosticism and the Biblical Content: 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:18-24; 1 John 3:4-10; 1 John 4:1-6, 15; 1 John 5:1, 5-12, 18-20; 2 John 7-11

Today's lecture on Gnostic beliefs, specifically the idea of the "circle" of God being surrounded and protected by angelic beings with only "gifted" individuals able to get through, brought to mind current gnostic beliefs (I guess not so current) of the Catholic religion. From what I know about the religion (not as much as I should), the practice of having to give or present my sins to a "specialized person of faith" to God for his review and forgiveness does seem to be a present day gnostic view. The implications are of great proportions. Another issue of current representation of Gnostic world view that comes to mind (if I'm not getting ahead of myself with the study) is of the influence of faith healers in today's world. This specifically came to mind due to an individual that I personally know who visited such a faith healer in an attempt to correct his wife's illness. It seems that people feel that their faith in God is inadequate to be presented to God, so they must use an alternative means to "get the message through". I have always felt that and still believe that God can do all things for those who ask and have faith (forgiveness and healing in these two scenarios). I can't imagine life being so difficult or the situation so impossible that I would need someone else to go to God on my behalf. These issues have struck me as un-biblical and was wondering what others may feel about both of these two (in my mind) gnostic views. It sure seems that I have been blessed to be able to freely go to God whenever I need to on my own for help versus the need to seek others "more holy than I" to get my message through. It is sad, but apparently a reality to those that practice these gnostic world views in our world. Thankfully we don't have to tell Coy what we've done to receive God's forgiveness - just kidding, but seriously. Let us know what you think.
